Problem Determinants
Even with safety systems set in place by the industries, there is some probability of accidents like toxic gas leaks, mishandling of equipment etc. Therefore there is a need for a system which is easy to handle and portable for performing maintenance and repair works if there is a problem with the underground toxic waste treatment systems.

Description – Chasm is a harmful and toxic gas detection device which is very portable equipped with industrial gas sensors, intelligible user interface & IoT based industry-wide alert systems for the maintenance of underground sewage, refinery and toxic waste treatment facilities.

Results Achieved – With an overall accuracy of 97%, this device identifies the presence of hazardous gases in conditions that pose a serious threat while performing maintenance on gas pipelines, gas chambers, toxic waste accumulators, and storage facilities. When an emergency arises, the safety systems built into this gadget are very beneficial in alerting both the individual handling the device and the industrial safety department that is in force.
